Julie Laboe is an expert consultant and trainer in data collection,
e-discovery, litigation services, database solutions, AI culling/review, best practices and workflows, trial presentation software and hot seat trial presentation. Julie collaborates with the industry’s leading experts to provide her clients with a wide array of relevant resources (such as forensic collection and analysis, data processing, Self Service cloud options/Subscription services, animation and database hosting that includes the use of AI and managed review). Julie's 30+ years in the industry have made it possible for her to work on all sizes and almost every type of litigation including patent infringement, theft of trade secrets, class-action lawsuits, product liability, employment, medical malpractice, First Amendment, breach of contract, criminal, bank fraud, merger and acquisition litigation, environmental, junk bonds, and oil & gas.
Julie also works with clients to evaluate and compare different hosted subscription services such as Relativity®/RelativityOne®, Casepoint®, Reveal®/Logikcull®, Everlaw®, and Sightline®. She helps clients identify the most important features for them and their workflows, facilitates demonstrations of the products, normalizes the different pricing models to provide an apples to apples cost comparison as well as facilitates POC/sandboxes so clients can get hands-on evaluations of the products before making a decision. Once a product has been selected, Julie assists clients with the migration of cases from their old product and into their new product.

Julie’s career began in 1993 with inData Corporation where she was part of the team responsible for the launch of TrialDirector®, the industry’s #1 trial presentation software. During that time, she also created the first courtroom automation company in the country, designing and installing electronic evidence presentation systems. The c
Julie’s career began in 1993 with inData Corporation where she was part of the team responsible for the launch of TrialDirector®, the industry’s #1 trial presentation software. During that time, she also created the first courtroom automation company in the country, designing and installing electronic evidence presentation systems. The company was the first to permanently automate 17 courtrooms in the country with electronic evidence presentation systems. Julie spent much of her early years working with law firms and corporate clients who were having their data processed and managed for use in databases such as Summation and Concordance.
Julie began providing training and consulting on database programs in 1998. Summation considered her one of their “Great Eight” trainers. As a “Great Eight” trainer Julie had to train and certify new Summation trainers when the iBlaze version of Summation was released. Julie was also responsible for a large portion of CT Summation's Enterprise program Help system as well as the rewrite of the CT Summation LG program Help system. Julie has also provided extensive training and consulting on Concordance.
In 1998 and 1999, Julie also worked with professors at UNH School of Law (formerly known as Franklin Pierce Law Center) to incorporate training on programs such as Summation, TrialDirector, and Sanction® Trial Presentation software into their trial advocacy curriculum. During that time, she also worked for the Federal Courts innovating and deploying evidence presentation systems. Sitting on the committee at the Administrative Offices of the Federal Courts in Washington, DC to review and award contracts for the installation of evidence presentation systems across the country.
